As the owner James founded Dog University on his philosophy of building a relationship based on love, trust, and respect between owners and their dogs. He has been training dogs for over 40 years saving numerous troubled dogs utilizing custom behavior modification techniques for each dog. He is well known in the dog community and recommended by veterinarians and rescue groups in the Northern Virginia area.
James specialized in working with troubled and aggressive dogs. His training techniques and follow up training with owners has saved numerous dogs from being surrendered or potentially euthanized. His years of experience have provided him with extensive knowledge to help dogs overcome extreme fear, trauma, abuse, and neglect. Dogs come from all over the east coast to Dog University for training.
James graduated from Oakton High School in 1985. He served 3 years in the United States Army and has an Honorable Discharge.
James lives on a farm in western Loudoun County with his 7 year old German Shepherd Max, 3 year old rescue German Shepherd Fellas, several horses, cattle, goats, and a 7 year old Double Yellow Headed Amazon named Merlin.
